What does <strong> ecologic products </strong> mean? - Signature Organic And Safe Cosmetics

The term ECOLOGIC is mainly used to refer to products whose ingredients come from an ecologic crop. This adjective is mainly used to characterize vegetables, fruits or plants in general that come from an ecologic crop. Eco-farming means that the farmer in question holds an organic certificate attesting that the plants are grown in strict accordance with the defined requirements. To obtain such a certificate, the farmer goes through a conversion period of 2-3 years, during which time no pesticides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, genetically modified seeds are used.

In order to ensure the true quality of the soil, samples are taken and analyzed at certified specialized laboratories. There are control bodies certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that deal with controls and the issuance of certificates. These certificates are issued for one year only and are then renewed if the conditions are met.

So, the next time you think you are buying an organic product, check its label and see if the certification logo that reads: Ecologic Agriculture (EA) appears.

Even farmers in the self-titled ecologic agri-food markets can be asked to prove the ecologic nature of their products by presenting a copy of the certificate.

If a product is declared ecologic, then each ingredient of which it is composed must have an eco certificate.
